A Word
From Our President
“ Welcome to the Lake Conroe Amateur Radio Club. Our club is focused on three main principles:
1. Enjoying the hobby: Amateur radio is a multifaceted hobby. There is something in it that tickles every radio enthusiasts interest.
2. Enjoying each other: We are not just a club of radio hobbyists. We are a club of friends. We enjoy each other’s company while doing club
activities.
3. Learning: We enthusiastically share knowledge with each other. The only dumb question is the one not asked.
Our membership consists of radio amateurs that range from new hobbyists to those have been a ham for 30 years or more. If you like learning while having fun or just talking to other ham radio operators, this is the club for you.
I cordially invite you to attend one of our meetings even if you are not
licensed yet. Also, listen to one of our weekly nets or check in if you have your license.
If want to obtain your license, we can help with that. Our Volunteer Exam team conducts testing sessions every other month.
I hope to see you at a meeting or talk to you on the air soon.
